Day 1: Cancun - Chichen Itza - Izamal - Merida
Departure from Cancun early in the morning at 7:00. Transfer to Chichen Itza. Excursion to Chichen Itza. We will spend about 3 hours here. You'll see the Pyramid of the Feathered Serpent, a temple of warriors, a ball court, and an ancient observatory. After lunch, transfer to Izamal. Lunch at the Kinich Izamal restaurant. Visit to the Franciscan monastery and walk around the city. Accommodation at a hacienda in Merida. Here you will learn about the history of Mexican haciendas, about the cultivation of henequen, visit the main building of the hacienda, and ride through the fields on a mule-drawn cart. Traditional rustic Mexican dinner at the hacienda.
Day 2: Merida - Uxmal - Caba - Palenque
Transfer to Uxmal. Tour of Uxmal. The second largest pyramid in Yucatan is located here - the Pyramid of the Wizard. After Uxmal, we will visit another ancient city in the Yucatan - Caba. The greatest historical value in Kaba is the Palace of Masks, the facade of which is decorated with many masks of the rain god Chak. Lunch at the seafood market in Champoton. Transfer to Palenque (journey about 5 hours). Accommodation at a hotel in Palenque.
Day 3: Palenque - Calakmul
Excursion to Palenque. Excursion to the archaeological zone of Palenque - one of the most beautiful cities of the Mayan civilization. You will see the Temple of the Inscriptions, in which the famous tomb of the ruler Pakal with a mysterious relief was discovered, the Temple of the Sun, the Temple of the Foliated Cross, and the Palace. Original Mayan artifacts. Tomb of the great ruler Pakal II. It was on the basis of this image that Eric Von Däniken put forward a hypothesis about the cosmic origin of the Mayan civilization. Transfer to Calakmul. Accommodation in a jungle lodge within the national park.
Day 4: Calakmul - Tulum
Excursion to the archaeological zone of Calakmul. It is one of the largest Mayan cities of the Classic period. Due to its distance from Cancun, Calakmul is rarely visited by tourists. Dinner. Transfer to Tulum. Accommodation in a boutique hotel on the Caribbean Sea.
Day 5: Coba - Tulum - Cancun
Excursion to Kobe - an ancient city lost in the jungle. Here you can see and climb the highest pyramid of the Yucatan Peninsula: Nohoch Mul, which reaches 42 meters in height. After Coba, visit the Grand Cenote, where you can swim. Lunch in Tulum. Excursion to the ancient port city of Tulum. Departure to Cancun. Arrival in Kanun around 19:00.
